I've recently become a fan of listening to podcasts and chances are if I'm dyeing yarn I'm listening to one. I of course switch off by listening to music (mostly Metal & lately I've been on an 80s New Wave kick) but I love how entertaining and informative podcasts can be.
As I checked my Instagram this morning, I was delightfully surprised to see a mention in a comment from knitasauruswrecks (aka Kristi) of The Crafty Hive Podcast. Apparently she picked up a couple of skeins of Squish Wish Sock at Loop while on a recent trip to Philly (thank you!).
During the first part of the episode Kristi and Dana spoke about their current knitting projects as well as their completed ones or FOs. They then went on to talk about their stash enhancement and all the cool yarns and notions they've picked up along their travels. My favorite part of the episode was when they went through the various color techniques found in indie and hand dyed yarns such as semi-solid, tonal, gradients and variegated just to name a few. I really enjoyed listening to these gals and will certainly add this podcast to my listening library. What other podcasts do I listen to?
It's no surprise that I enjoy podcasts related to the fiber arts but I also enjoy ones dealing with small businesses and entrepreneurship. Also, (I'm admittedly a bit biased about this one) for anyone into retro gaming, my husband and a couple of dear friends record the 240p Club Podcast. I'm privileged to get to listen to it as they record it live and assist with any behind the scenes stuff they require (website etc.).
In no particular order, here are the other podcasts I enjoy:
Are there any other podcasts I should check out? Let me know. :)
